Hey everyone!

We finally made it to Brazil after a couple of long flights and long hours! As most of you know, we spent a lot of time in the Atlanta airport due to some ice issues, but we finally took off somewhere around 1 am. The plane was pretty empty, so we all got to spread out and sleep most of the way to Sao Paulo. After arriving to the Sao Paulo airport we had to split into two groups on two separate flights. The first group immediately went through security and to their gate while the rest of us ate lunch (our first Brazilian meal), exchanged and withdrew some money and took a little time to breathe. The first flight took off around 3:30 pm and the second was at 6:40 pm. The flight from Sao Paulo to Brazil was a little bumpy, especially the landing, but we finally had made it! Andre and Marney, our hosts, met us at baggage claim and helped us with our luggage and board our bus. Next stop, Agua Viva! When we got there, we met our translators, ate a really good dinner and got some much needed sleep. Brazil is absolutely beautiful and was definitely worth the crazy traveling. Actually, right now we're on a bus tour around Brasilia and we're spending the day here in town. So parents and anyone else, don't worry! We're here, we made it safe and sound and we're in a beautiful place, being well taken care of. We will talk to you as soon as we can so try not to miss us too much!
